*In Utter Shock,* I have no problem with new intermediary decks between red and green, but they should be the extremes.

QUOTE
I'd like to see if this modified Red deck can work, this would be a pretty cool if it does. My only concern is that this deck could get overused if it works. I agree that Red and Green should usually be the extremes but every once in a while a rule could be broken... If the deck is well built, I don't see a problem with a very rare use of this kind of deck and I think this would be a good place for its start. But enough debate about basic decks (for this thread at least)

For right now, I'm going to keep the modified deck as it is. I'm only intending on using it this one time, and didn't design it with the intent on it being added to the list of commonly used custom decks, nor do I expect it to seeing as how it's such a big change. I think that it represents Ike well though, so I'd like to playtest it before I make any changes to it.

Lower the Attack on Great Aether with that effect especially with the red deck combo.

QUOTE
I do agree that Great Aether needs to be tuned down (A5 + possible A6 basic + 4 DD = too much) If the DD didn't apply to the defending character but to all other adjacent characters, this could work. Or I could be wrong and it could be a situation like Toon Link's FS where it could be underpowered without the DD. It looks like a good play testing is in order here.

I'll change it so the attacked character is immune to the DD. If it's overpowered/underpowered from there I'll make the necessary changes.

QUOTE
Also, Ike should have only 1 counter. Maybie a 3rd Aether or an eruption.

QUOTE
I would like to see counter be slightly different for Ike. I don't exactly know how, but with Marth and Roy being clones and Ike being another one of them, it would be refreshing to see something different. My only thought (other than it's fine the way it is and I'm just being rediculous) would be:

x2 Counter: 0* Defense. If the card used to attack is not a Final Smash card, Ike takes no damage from the attack. Return this card to your hand and treat it as an exact copy of the opponent's attack card.

OR

x2 Counter: 0* Defense. If the card used to attack is not a Final Smash card, Ike takes no damage from the attack. Your opponent must discard a card for every point of damage prevented, up to 4.

Finally, this deck seems like it would be slightly too powerful if you took a Counter and turned it into an Aether. It could be changed to something else but I wouldn't do another A7.

If I do take out a copy of Counter, I'll replace it with another Aether card, though I'll lower Aether's damage if I do. Aether is supposed to be his signature move, so it would make sense for him to have 3 of them in the deck. As for changing Counter, I like Jagon's second suggestion, and will probably change the card to that.

Thanks for listening to my opinions again. Anyone else notice that there only seems to be 3 of us posting on most of these decks? I just noticed that. Anyone else read these and just doesn't post? Not saying this is a problem, just an observation.

Yeah, I noticed that to. There were a couple of other people making occasional suggestions when I first started posting the decks, but for the most part you and General Kenobi have been making the majority of the comments lately. I'm hoping that a couple of other people do comment in this particular topic though, I'd like to hear more people's opinions on how the changes I made to the red deck will affect how powerful Ike's deck will be compared to other decks.
