Upping Dark Side Drain to a value where it becomes useful against a major character (I'm thinking that value would need to be 5 or 6) would go a long way to fixing this deck. The major gripe I have with the deck (once again) is exactly what Roman pointed out, Choke + Wrath + DSD is no good. My second gripe (once again) is the lack of staying power. Upping DSD would definitely address both of these concerns, as it would give him even more healing, and it would become useful against majors.

But even so, that would still leave you with Choke + Wrath, which is exactly half of his talent cards. These cards deal a combined 24 damage to minor characters. If you ignore Chewie for the moment, that's more than twice as much damage as he needs for every other minor in the game (with the exception of Padme, assuming she manages to get a heal card played between Chokes). So, in 1vs1, this is definitely overkill. And in some respects, this part of his design would still be "broken". Or at the very least, unnecessary. (2vs2 is another story, and i've already conceded that)

Furthermore, lets think about what a DSD at A5 or A6 would do to the deck. A card like that would almost oblige Vader to get into the thick of things much earlier in the duel (depending on the draw of course). It would change his PtV from a cowering in the corner attrition game to more of a combination PtV that I mentioned before. An A3 DSD is ineffective against majors and is not really viable in an attack-attack-attack scenario, but an A5 or A6 version would suddenly give Vader a reason to go out and try to land his red deck offense in combination with his DSD. He could manage this much better because of the healing potential involved. It would allow him to go toe to toe against many more characters without fear of losing all his HP after a couple turns. If you timed this right with his DD, he could have a much more effective PtV, and a much easier deck to use. He could easily land some damage with his attack scenario and withstand the retaliation from DSD. When used in combination with the DD half of his PtV, you can suddenly see how the deck could work. He would probably still have to hang back and stockpile some before emerging, but when he did, he could actually *do* something with DSD, and then with ATE thrown into the mix, he'd be a deck that might actually be fun to play.

*BUT* even having said all that, you still end up with a PtV that is either two separate paths of opposite types (hiding w/DD or getting in the thick of it to attack), or one path with two opposite parts. It would still be tricky to get these two parts to work together and would still require lucky draws. You absolutely couldn't go toe-to-toe with anyone until you drew DSD, and you wouldn't want to emerge with DSD too early, before you've trimmed down the other guy with DD. If anything upping DSD, makes his deck even more dependent on card draws (more so than it already is). So, I'm still looking at those 6 talents cards (Choke + Wrath) that are redundant and then looking at the support he's still missing (card draws, or deck manipulation) as "flaws" in the deck. If you take Fish's other suggestion and have YSANC include power combats, that will definitely buy you more time with indirect staying power, which will help his timing. But I don't think it's enough. I still think Choke + Wrath doesn't work as well as it could and I still think the deck design is missing the crucial support element to help in timing both parts of his PtV.

So, the tweaks Fish mentioned would go a long way to helping, and interestingly enough, this solution is NOT one that Sultan asked about in the very first post of this thread. His question was, could we rearrange the distribution of the current cards (ie, not changing any of the text) and get a deck that works? Fish's solution changes the values on the cards, which I think is a good tweak. But even so, I would still think the design could be improved upon by dropping some cards and adding some new ones (particularly those that add card draws or manipulate the deck like Future Foreseen). And I still think Choke + Wrath taking up 6 card slots is unnecessary at best (or is it "at worst"?)
