You'll get no disagreement from me...the path is not really viable. But, I still think it's an intended path. When taken separately, you've got a red deck, DSD x2, YSANC and ATE...these cards have very little to do with the direct damage, and it would appear as though they were intended to work together to support a separate path of all out attacks. You have a point about ATE being a "fear" card to keep people away to help the DD, and I think you're right it *can* do that, but I also think you have to take ATE at face value and assume it was intended to be a card that actually could win the game for Vader. And DSD and YSANC seem to be the cards to support it. The healing potential of DSD should allow Vader to stand toe-to-toe in an attack back and forth scenario, and YSANC should help you guage *when* the right time to do that is. But the problem is, those cards really don't do what I think they were intended to, and that is the *why* part of why this path doesn't really work (I have seen it work, once...). DSD is not an effective healing card as an A3, because most characters almost always have a defense of 2-3 or higher, and YSANC in reality, doesn't really help Vader much in timing, since it takes an action to do so and doesn't pull and defense (that would help ATE) or offense (that would buy him more staying power).

I still think there are two separate paths. I'm not sure what you are arguing for Tim? Are you arguing that there are not two paths? And then, are you trying to argue that the one path idea is actually an effective one?

Like I said before, whether we argue that there is only one path of two parts, or two separate paths, it's sort of splitting hairs. I think it all boils down to how you interpret ATE. If you interpret it as a fear card and nothing more, then I think you're right there is only one PtV. But, if you interpret it as an actual card that can be played to win the game, then I disagree. Regardless of how we see the paths, I do not think either idea is well supported in the deck design. I hope we agree on that at least...
