Not trying to resurrect this thread, it just seemed the best place for these thoughts:

I played 2 EDOL matches last night and both featured Vader: Vader vs. Boba and Vader vs. Jango. Vader won all 4 games. In a couple of them, Vader dominated. In one match with Boba, I think it came down to Vader going first or Boba might have won (I was Boba and also didn't play as efficiently as possible, which might have made a difference). In one match with Jango, some bad die rolls contributed to Jango's demise, but it's still questionable as to whether or not Jango would have won.

Vader, who is basically awful against the Jedi decks, proved pretty tough against Boba and Jango. I also know him to be very effective against Han and Luke.

What occurred to me is: Vader, Luke, Han and probably Boba may have been designed specifically to play against each other. Vader and Luke clearly are. Vader matches up well against all 3 of those decks, but all 3 are also capable of beating him.

The other deck from that "era" is Emperor Palpatine. He might have been designed with Vader and/or Luke in mind, but his design happens to work against any and all decks.

Jango, I think, is kind of developed out of the Boba "mold," as they share 5 of the same cards. So Vader being designed to play against Boba means he is therefore designed to play against Jango.

Anyways, part of the point of this post is, if Vader only played against Boba, Jango, Han and Luke, we wouldn't be talking about tweaking him. His issues are when he matches up against the other 7 decks.
