So I was thinking about that one Transformers card that does 10 damage to an adjacent character, but requires you to discard 9 cards to play it. This card intrigues me, and I think it would be interesting to put somewhere in SWED. The problems are twofold:
1. You can't really combo anything with a card that makes you discard your entire hand. The only time you'll want to play it is if you can kill the other person.
2. There's something stupid about a card that can just automatically kill any character that has 10 health left, without any possibility of them doing anything about it. There's a similar situation in the IG-88 deck (A card with a huge drawback that can be "gotten around" by using it as a finishing blow) but that one is only 6 damage, not 10. Bowcaster, for what its worth, can never "automatically" kill a character with 8 or more hit points. So it could be kind of ridiculous if this character could maybe deal a few points of damage with the minors, walk up to them, play the card, and be like "Well, I have 9 cards I have to lose, so I'll just lose my hand and I don't care."
With that in mind, here's my idea. I have no character to pair this idea with. I'm hoping somebody could help me with that.
Build the deck around 4 cards:
x3 (Insert Name Here)- Look at the top 4 cards of your draw pile. Put one in your hand, and place the other three face up on the table. At the end of this turn, put the other 3 cards in your hand.
x1 (Insert Name Here)- Choose a character adjacent to so-and-so. That character receives 10 damage, but cannot be reduced below one hit point. You must discard 9 cards in order to play this card.
If you rounded out the other 8 cards, is there any possibility of making a fun deck out of this? Who would be a good character for it?
